This simple dhoti has many advantages, some of which are described below:
1) It does not require stitching - just direct from the mill.
2) Just two pieces of cloth are sufficient to cover the entire body.
3) It could be worn in several different fashions according to the customs of region.
4) It is the best multi use clothing material as it could be worn both sides, top-down, half way as bermuda.
5) It could be transformed as a bedsheet when lying down.
6) It could be transformed as a blanket to cover when its cold.
7) It is the best and easiest cloth to wash and dry.

9) It requires only very less space to dry. All you need is a simple wire and you can dry it anywhere - outside, inside - space will not be a constraint.
10) Cotton is supposed to keep the body warm in winter and cool in summer due to the absorption power of cotton.
11) It requires very less space to store - an important concept in today's small size homes. It could be folded into small size and kept inside the wardrobe.
